This image shows how the ice builds up along the beach of Lake Michigan…waves come in and splash and then freeze and the ice grows out into the lake further and further. Only about twice in the last hundred years has Lake Michigan froze all the way across…

This is called a Moment in Time…. what a glorious capture!!! makes me feel like i need a sweater RIGHT NOW!! I’ve never lived anywhere that was that cold… We did live 6 months in Columbus, Ohio.. but that is about as far as we have ever been north of Virginia. And now, in Florida, we just don’t see ice…. NEVER!!! or at least not very often. Chelsea has lived here for about 10-15 years…. and i don’t think she has seen anything frozen but one time. This is a superb pic… it’s really great!! hugs!
