This portrait of Lily is done completely in dots.. it’s called pointillism or stipple. It take a lot of time but the end result is very much worth it. And besides.. Lily was always one of my favorites..

I truly hope that another message comes through.. that these animals DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS.. that’s why places like Noah’s are in existence. If people would just think before they buy that cute LITTLE cub.. life would be easier on all of us especially the animals. After all.. they didn’t ask to be in the situation they are.. and there are far to many unscrupulous people out there that are in it for the money..
At least with education, we might make a little difference.. even if we save just one animal.. it’s a beginning!!
All proceeds from any sales will be donated to Noah’s Lost Ark Sanctuary for the care and feeding of the animals..

Tigerlily the splendid. I like your use of stippling, it’s not an easy technique and she’s come out wonderfully well. I look at these big cats and I’m sure they know and can feel in every fibre of their being just how magnicent they are.

wow how long it took you to do it? Great detail, great work, came out wondeful, amazing.

  • I don’t remember how long, but with stipple it’s best to keep the piece smaller that way you won’t be working on it for a decade or two!!

Extraordinary rendition of a precious lady. Her muzzle is so expressive as her beautiful eyes are. Impressive artwork, Barb, luscious patterns where her spirit comes alive.

Thank you for adding lovely Lily along your generous pledge to Art for Conservation.
