Merlin and Maverick arrived at Noah’s at the same time. They did not seem to be terribly mistreated, so there was little recovery time. You must admit though, this is one handsome lad!!
I truly hope that another message comes through.. that these animals DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS.. that’s why places like Noah’s are in existence. If people would just think before they buy that cute LITTLE cub.. life would be easier on all of us especially the animals. After all.. they didn’t ask to be in the situation they are.. and there are far to many unscrupulous people out there that are in it for the money..

At least with education, we might make a little difference.. even if we save just one animal.. it’s a beginning!!

All proceeds from any sales will be donated to Noah’s Lost Ark Sanctuary for the care and feeding of the animals.

Merlin is beautiful. Yes, the wild do make good pets and people should think about the consequences. A fave.

Good advice to all those who can’t seem to see into the future or who simply don’t care… Years ago, I had my picture taken holding a small tiger cub, who was so cute and cuddly. However, even as he licked my hand and made little noises like an oversized kitten, I was reminded that in a very short time, he would be able to tear me apart, if he took a notion…

  • And.. I hate to tell you this, but I would be willing to bet that as soon as the “cuteness” wore off, that cub was dumped God knows where. If lucky, it ended up in a sanctuary that cared for it – but it might have ended up in one of those roadside zoos – and they don’t really care.

The cub was actually already part of a sanctuary… The money raised through the photos was going to purhcase additional acreage to allow for the care of more animals unfortunate enough to have been adopted, then abandoned…

  • Well, that’s good news. And, from my association with Noah’s, I know how expensive it is to care for these animals. Anything worthwhile is never cheap.
