The Golden Tabby Tiger, which is how they are referred to, is a rather rare coloring for the tigers. This particular cat resides at the Buffalo New York Zoo. When we got there, his keeper told us that he usually comes outside and ditches way in the back so that photo ops are almost impossible. Well.. he must have know we were coming because he come into his yard and walked all around the enclosure.. paused.. posed.. walked some more and would actually look our way. It was almost as if he was trying to be more cooperative than usual, and we did manage to get some really terrific shots… which is how I ended up doing this piece.
