One of the best surfaces to work on – especially if you happen to be as heavy-handed as I am – is a smooth matboard. If you’re good friends with a framer, there will be plenty available – all of the “insides” that they cut out!!

You’re welcome.. but make sure that you get the smooth matboard.. the textured ones mess with the pencil.. and not always nicely.
