Bryce Canyon became a National Park in 1928. The Bryce area was settled by Mormon pioneers in the 1850’s and was named after Ebenezer Bryce who homesteaded in the area in 1874. At Bryce Canyon, erosion from wind, water and ice form an array of fantastic shapes known as Hoodoos. The rim varies from 8000-9000 feet and covers 56 miles.
It was cold and windy the day we arrived and were not dressed for the cold. I was able to “layer up” long enough to do some exploring, but man…. I’m not used to cold weather!

A long-time passion, I’ve held a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. Capturing “the moment” is my goal, whether it be people, wildlife or a beautiful Arizona sunset. I am originally from NYC but now live in the desert southwest.
Thank you for viewing my images… I hope that you enjoy!
