Artist's Description

The Cactus Wren is the Arizona State bird, officially recognized in 1931. They primarily eat insects and seeds and nuts. They can be found perched on top of cacti and make their nests in the cactus plants. They mate for life, (how sweet!) and male and female are very similar in appearance.
