Bronzed Cowbird

Barbara Manis

Green Valley, United States

Artist's Description

This is a bird that has lived in my backyard for several months now. He pecks on my window every morning and sometimes during the day. He is a strange fella who inflates his neck feathers as he performs a helicopter display flight several feet above one or two females. He is driving us crazy with his pecking but he is also very comical. He doesn’t seem to be afraid of me anymore and posed for several pics. He is a seasonal bird and should be gone in August.
