Joshua

His brown skin shines gold.
His mane not quite full.
Wandering with the other young males.
To old for the pride of his childhood,
to young to provide for his own.
Stretching in the sun, knowing,
he has pupose and destination.
Sparing, practicing, playing, learning.
Waiting for his time.
One day he will lead his own,
Watching over them with passionate green eyes,
loving and true.
He will have his own young to love and teach.
His own juveniles to send away.
So they too can have a pride
of their own.

Oh this is really cool. I love the imagery and your use of big cats to portray that confidence and strength that us blokes have at that age. A smashing write

  • Thank you again purplecactus.
