Enjoy every day
The universe is racing away
its scientific fact today
so ‘they’ say
the little planet’s spinning faster
are we heading for disaster?
that’s not convention
its my invention
Maybe ‘they’ know but think we’ll panic
and our behaviour get more manic
‘they’ do tell us earth’s heating up
the problem is we’re eating up
resources; lifestyles unsustainable
there’s no way that its maintainable
so now the days are rushing past
change and share and make them last
shove the dollar, go for green
our exploitation is obscene
of course it could be just old age
deluding me to act the ‘sage’
and I hope its all delusion
and those thoughts are just illusion
as I’m running out of time
I hope the future is sublime
