Time, playing a little game of hide and seek
with the past and with the future –
its always been the same
how come I imagined your thread was woven with mine
throughout the warp of time?
I am Penelope! weaving my fate
while you old Ulysses, sail away in your ship,
a haunted shape
to cast my net of dreams, white in the lost hopes
of timeless mists forever
leaving me, womanlike, weaving each stitch with care
as if unaware of the ghostly ships
the wastes of hell, the dark wood
golden sands and lotus lands—
legends of the past are caught
renewed with pain and sorrow and rare joy
and in the magic of time, are understood.

BEAUTIFUL!! YOU’VE MOVED ON IN A POSITIVE WAY!!
Thanks Raymondo, I’m a slow mover! However, life is very positive when living in a beautiful, liveable part of the planet (thanks to adventurous forebears)and have(so to speak), a lovely family, with their own lives—-how lucky can you be!

This is really wonderful Barbara, you’ve certainly woven these thoughts into a evocative poem, it seems it really has always been the same :-)
Thanks so much Matt, I used to adore the Greek myths, fables and so on when a child —its only later that I realised how relevant they are.
