Oil on board about 500×600 mm Memories of a trip around the outback. I was awestruck by its beauty and colours and feeling of ancientness. But not every thing was happy or beautiful —like the sad cattle in one of lots of cattle trucks
love how you have captured the movement if the truck as it makes its way along the road… following trucks loaded with chicken every day as I travelled to work stopped me from eating meat many years ago… x
Thanks teacup, and yes, I do understand and confess I occasionally do eat free range or organic chicken, fish, or free range eggs as I seem to need a protein boost a couple of times a week—specially in winter
Thanks cosimopiro, sure a lot of folk feel like you do -confess I don’t indulge but gave my kids a mix of foods when growing up- now of course they are able to make up thier own minds

Lovely work Barbara :O))
Thankyou Arcadia -this was a quick one and I confess to not eating cattle. Actually I would like to be a ‘grey nomad’

They are still sad whenever I see them I’m afraid …what beautiful work!
Yes they are haunting- and I believe eating meat isn’t good for the planet with increasing population.

Thanks so much uncleblack – It was an impression, not one of my careful paintings, but needed to get it out
