Founded in 1448 this Franciscan abbey is situated in the ground of Muckross house near Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. It was occupied until 1652 when it was sacked and burned by Cromwellian force.     Looks small for a doorway (to me), but it’s a lovely shape :) The stone’s a nice grey colour too.
