Thanks Shaddy and Peter. He was a brown snake I had rescued from inside of a road side barbecue on the Hume Highway. Before releasing him back into the bush we used him to train some other people in the skills of rescuing venomous snakes. By the time I took this photo he had just about had enough, so just after this was taken we let him go in a safe area (for him and the public).
Lovely shot, really enjoy your gallery. We once caught a young Tiger Snake (in the house) in Gunning. Knowing the local hatred for them, we took it in the Tupperware container and released it on Black Mountain. Didn’t know anyone like yourself for some advice at the time (years ago) but hope that it has survived okay.
GOOD ON YA!!!! I think snakes get a raw deal in this world. You certainly gave him a second chance which is more than a lot of people do. He probably is living quite happily on the mountain. Thanks for your kind words regarding the gallery.
