It was an absolutely beautiful day here in Portland yesterday. It started out great as there was a garage sale across the street from my house and I scored four huge beautiful frames with glass and everything. Most importantly, one to fit the large painting I am composing for an open show in October at the Launch Pad Gallery. The theme is dreaming and I have to have it finished by Tuesday to have it considered for the postcard for the event. I have drawn a reclining faerie in a tree and am working on a woman sleeping on the ground, the idea being that she is dreaming of a freer life as a faerie.

Later in the day, my sweetie and I were downtown and I couldn’t help but notice the young street kids and their wild hair and make up. They looked like somewhat gothic faeries. Definitely living a wild and dangerous life. Very intriguing…..
