The North Face of Ben Nevis, Scottish Highlands.
In December 2010, I spent a particularly wild and snowy night camped on the summit of Aonach Mor, during Scotland’s coldest winter for over 80 years. Much to my relief, the clouds drifted away shortly after sunrise, and I was treated to a spectacular 360’ panorama of snow laden hills and mountains.
I took this shot of the fresh snow blowing off the north face of The Ben. The ridge in the foreground is the Carn Mor Dearg arête, and is a wonderful route to the summit of the UK’s highest mountain.

Great mountain scenery. Looks cold.
Brrrrr, I don’t think I would like to camp on the summit of Aonach Mor in the winter. It was quite exposed there in May. A gorgeous shot!
Congratulations!!
