It comes.
Like a thief in the darkest of nights
Or, a hurricane, whenever it pleases.
knocking you down,
creating fear in your heart
and doubt in your mind
The only change I see
is what’s in my hands
And, I can’t buy bread with it anymore.
What change?

Thanks for your comments, Shoaib M. The biggest question of all is: For whom do the changes come? From what I can see those that had none before continue to have none and those that have always had continue to always have. This economic downturn has only affected those of us who struggle evey day to live in a world of debt and denial. The AIG’s and other wall street types have so much that while they may have lost millions, are mostly unaffected. And still further, All the billions given to these corporations and banking institutions so far has been lost the beenfit the few. These billions are from the hard working middle class who support this country thru their taxes and continue to do so with no reward. Rich folks have frowned on poor people who collect welfare, and now they line up by the thousands with their grimpy hands out to collect billions after they have created a false sense of loss. This whole thing is manufactured, unfortunately the general public cintinues to be gullible and believe everything told to them by lying politicians and media types. Slogans are great for a campaign, but bulshit don’t get me coffee in the morning.. Amen!
