Open, like the up turned palm of an outstretched hand
Imploring the heavens to surrender the distance
Survey this terrain in solitude no longer

Where here earth is bound…
The amber rays of a golden sun
The surprise of an early morning dew
Gentle elegance portrayed
Veritable canvas of eternal youth
Stormy skies,
Tempestuous tears, collectively pool
Reflective
Enraptured
Wild eyes gazing back to you…
Hypnotic trance
in just one glance
Father sky
Sire, this view
Warmth and color, precious hue…
Sky and desert
Meld, -the two
Heart and mind
As if it could be understood
What life is
To live each day as if it were new
