ahh guys ignore the shitness of my designs at the moment, i need to change all my designs and reupload them but i’ve just started using illustrator and its annoying the shit of me and i’m having to go between illustrator and photoshop to get it transparent and working and I just havent had the time this week so please be patient.
PS if anyone knows how to save a PNG file on illustrator with a transparent background in the dimensions of the t-shirt i’d appreciate a tip, as it is when i try to save it it crops the t shirt image down to just the actual picture, ie for sex sells it crops everything but a square around the tank and girl, i cant seem to get it to save the whole template argh!!!!!

I don’t know if there’s a ‘real’ way to do it but I get around it by adding a rectangle (no fill) to the page boundary… that gives the page a pixel (vector) edge to save to… be careful you don’t leave anything on the pasteboard either otherwise it save this massively area around the page…

not sure about the png thing I take everything into photoshop to add the transparency, couldn’t even really tell you how or why, depends on the piece.

thanx kathleen, i think I have to do it through photoshop, it wouldnt be a problem except i havent forked out to upgrade my comp so i cant run both at the same time :(
