Not only are the art pieces in Thorvaldsen Museum, Copenhagen, DK exciting and wonderful to view, but the architecture of every corner of this structure is wonderful for the photographer. I must recommend a trip to this amazing museum, full of sculpture by Bertel Thorvaldsen (1770-1844). Born in Copenhagen, he was trained in Rome and throughout his career, he had several studios in Rome and became one of Europe’s most exciting artists.
In 1938 he returned to Copenhagen and then began the construction on the museum that was finished in 1848, 4 years after his death. He was able to view many areas of his museum before his passing.
