Sunday is Mother’s Day in the USA….. and a tribute to all mothers around the world is my desire for this posting. Whether our moms still remain a driving force in our life or not, our thoughts and memories will expose the level of a life shared with her.
Those of us who are mothers also, hopefully have come to realize the great importance of being the matriarch in a family, another level of motherhood that we are unprepared to hold.
But speaking for all mom’s….. we just did it !!!! For good or bad, we worked our way around each child, teaching, loving, caring…. sharing compassion, direction, belief, honor, ethics and so many areas that we all want our children to rise to project in their lives.
There are some who have only recently lost their moms, and my heart goes out to each one of you… All I can say is to take time to grieve… hug those memories to yourself. God does heal our grief with wonderful memories, honest!!!! I remember years ago the grief of knowing that my mom was no longer there……..no automatic phone calls to share a recipe, no sharing of my children’s successes, no laughing over past get-togethers, no passing on Christmas lists. Wonderful feelings but a great sense of loss.
So to all who read this, please take a moment to share a thought about your mom with someone….. bring her back into your life and share a smile today!!!!
