Larry Beat is from Toledo, Ohio but has made the Emerald Coast Florida his home for the past 20 years. He works for the City of Destin as a planning administrator and also serves as their official photographer. His photos are frequently published in The Destin Log and photographs for the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce. His photo, “Gathering Geese in the Gloaming” is featured in the 2012 calendar of the Mattie Kelly Environmental Institute.
