Snuggles on Kau Crater
This is Snuggles the Adventure Cat on the trail to Kau Crater. Kau is a small volcanic crater (containing a swamp!) high in the Koolau mountain range above Honolulu. The trail to the top follows a stream and then climbs four waterfalls to a small patch of grass and Norfolk Pines overlooking the crater.

A few tidbits about Snuggles:
She’s a 3 1/2 year old female dumpster kitty. Her favorite foods are tuna and gecko. She hopes to be a cheetah when she grows up.
She loves getting out of the house and she does a lot of hiking, both on and off the leash. She’s seen most of Oahu and the Big Island, and has done lots of 4×4ing, camping, stream crossing, and even a little kayaking.
In fact, one week from today, Snuggles and I will be in Hilo taking lava, orchid, and short exposure lunar photography.
