Lion of the Lake by

An absolutely gorgeous sunset at Mono Lake. This Tufa reminded me of a Lion, hence the title… The snowcapped Eastern Sierra’s are an additional bonus considering it’s almost July :)

What an utterly amazing sight Leasha, those enriched colours are just magnificent and the graduation from purple through to orange in the sky is simply amazing. The snow capped peaks are really eye catching and the rocks in the lake stand so strong and proud as the amazing light display reflects gorgeously in the water around them.

  • Thank you very much Stuart! You have the most wonderful things to say!! I have been waiting to capture something like this from this wonderful place, and after this, I am a happy lady! <3

You’re welcome. I saw that same photo & started watching that photog today. His work is incredible! I think Ramona is up in the Gorge. Haven’t been to that one yet, myself. I think Paula Cobleigh might have a shot of it in her gallery too.
  • Sweet! I’m going to do some research on that one! :)
