In Yawo culture, old people (or the esteemed) are referred to as “anganga”. Here’s a nice old Mozambican anganga I met along the trail one late afternoon.

I live full time in Mozambique with my family (there’s six of us!) and shoot primarily documentary, landscape and environmental portraits. Available for freelance work. Check out www.Ajambule.com (that means “take my picture” in my part of the world) for more info.
