Holy Trininty Great Langdale by

The Alter of Holy Trinity Great Langdale.

I went with fellow bubbler Jason Connolly to The Lake District. The weather was superb and we made our way here after the day started well on the banks of Lake Windermere with great reflections.

Hand held three shot HDR (-2,0,+2) processing in Photomatix. Further adjustments in Lightroom.

Nikon D5000 Sigma 10mm-20mm. 14mm iso 640

churches, holy trininty, great langdale, hdr, photomatix, place of worship

    one wonderful image

  • Thanks Steve, I really wanted to keep the image as natural as I could and allow the shot to speak for itself, hence the type of treatment I used.

Wow..Now this is a good en mate..This sort of image really suite the HDR tonemapping processing…

  • Oh yes! I totally agree, being able to get the detail of the stained glass and details in the shaded areas was the aim when I bracketed the shot and am delighted with it.

It’s a great angle too and getting the light on the wall..I didn’t even see that!

  • lol that is why I was hovering, fingers crossed the light did not go. If you remember I was sat in the pew itching to shoot. The light framing the door on the wall.
