High tide on Cleveleys Beach.

Met fellow Redbubblers Jason Connolly and Gary Kenyon late afternoon yesterday to shoot using 10 stop ND filters. Had a laugh with them and look forward to meeting them again.

My first attempt at using an ND filter! I really have to get used to it.

Shot with a 10 stop ND filter with Nikon D5000 and Sigma 10mm-20mm.

Tone mapped via Photomatix.

Great shot mate..Enjoyed meeting up too John…

  • Cheers Jason, I got away with it in b&w, the sky was blown out in colour but I think it works in b&w. Got to get the adapter rings for the other lenses. I was surprised at how little colour cast there was on the pictures so not a ’bad first attempt. Gary has sent me the exposure compensation cards so fingers crossed next time. Also going to try and shoot when not into the sun til I get a feel for it.
