So you wanna be a storm chaser. This is your sign, Time to Run!!!! I decided to go out tonight and take some images of a rain shaft just outside Bisbee, Arizona. The storm really wasn’t to active with lightning until I got set up and started to shoot the shaft. Then the rain got more intense and then the lightning started to fall from the sky like firefly’s. I got a few strikes that were on the other side of the storm. Then it started to shoot out the side towards the Mule Mountians. I thought I had missed the shot of the night. Then it started to rain at my first location. I got in the car and went down the road about 1 mile, and started to set up for a possible strike that I could capture. There was no indication that this Single Massive Discharge was just about to happen right in front of me. I started to shoot and then in a blink of an eye this discharge happened and when the image came on the LCD my first words was OMG!!!!
