I stole the idea of the name Azellah from my great-grandmother, the late, great, Cora Elizabeth Ezeller Mae, who went by Zella.
Here is a TEDtalk on creativity, inspiration and the self given by the author of ….it talks about inspiration and artwork, and explained that inspiration is great but not certain, and artwork…is still mostly work!
It goes with a quote I always liked:
“Don’t loaf and invite inspiration; light out after it with a club, and if you don’t get it you will nonetheless get something that looks remarkably like it.” — Jack London, “Getting Into Print”, The Editor magazine, March 1903
…it also reminds me of the ‘sweat’ from this quote:
“The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea.” – Karen Blixen, Seven Gothic Tales, 1934
“I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.” ― Mother Teresa
