Ink drawing on unrefined paper
I love drawing on unrefined paper. It all started when I developed a habit of drawing patterns on friends presents after wrapping them. It would be a last minute thing, jumping in the passenger seat with scissors and sticky tape, then trying to draw at every red-light.
I liked the media but more than that I liked the fact that you have to be happy with what you end up. There is no pressure also, it will all end up in a friend’s bin anyway. After dozens of hand drawn packaging, I started stealing from my 1.5 year old’s raw drawing paper roll.
This is one of the first pieces I drew at home, not on a bumpy car ride. It is just a start anyway.
