The ruins of the Byzantine christian monastery, today named “Alahan Manastiri” are located near to the road between Karaman and Mut on an altitude of 1250 m. The monastery was constructed during Byzantine era in the late 5th century, maybe funded by Emperor Zeno (474-491). There are ruins of two churches, graves and buildings of the monks. Some of the columns has wonderful Isaurian sculptures. From the monastery you have an impressive view over the valley.
