Hello Jens, I passed through this place many years ago. Have you been to Thermessos Ruins yet?
Hi Keith, thanks for your comment. I didn´t visit Thermessos until now. There are so many fascinating historical places in Turkey. Hope one day I can visit them all.

Thank you very much for your interest Hologram!
Oh WOW!!! Stunning image…Jens!! I have never seen Tombs dug into the side of a Mountain before and with such amazing details to the front of them!! Kinda makes you wonder how they could do such a thing back then with the limited resouces they had then!!! Much less how long it must have taken them to do just one , much less 6 of them !! One of them looks much bigger then the rest was that because who ever is in that one was more important then the others? Excellent work , my friend!!! WTG =D
Thank you very much for your interest Carla! There are many old tombs along the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, built by Carians and Lycians (400 BC). The big tombs were usually used for the Kings. When the Romans conquered the area, many of the graves were plundered or sometimes used again for their representatives.
An excellent photograph about a fantastic place to be
