Library of Celsus in Ephesus
The Library of Celsus in Ephesus was built by Romans in the early 2nd Century for Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus, who was governor of the roman province Asia. The public library contained 12000 scrolls and the tomb of Celsus. Today only the front facade of the building is restored in Ephesus.
Ephesus (turkish: Efes) is located near the city of Selçuk, Aegean Sea Region, Turkey.
