Hey guys, if you have a moment, i’d love to hear some thoughts on a design i’m working on. This year i’d like to put together a book/magazine/folio type thing as a self promotional piece. I hate putting traditional folios together, so i wanted to do something a bit nicer and more… self indulgent, maybe?… lol.
Anyway, I’ve come up with a name. ‘AT5’. This name represents my initials, AT, as well as the 5 years of industry and personal work i plan to represent in the book. To add an extra layer, if you sound out ‘A-T-5’, it sounds like ‘Eighty Five’, which is the year of my birth. So yeah, something quite personal.
It’s early days yet, i’m giving myself plenty of time to put this thing together, but yeah, would love some thoughts on the logo i’m playing around with.
Cheers!

Looks classy Alex. I like the thought that’s gone into it. Style and substance. Do the colour choices have any particular significance? It’s also got a slightly retro record label feel about it … for some reason which i can’t quite put my finger on.
ayarti:
Thanks Nat. The colour choices don’t hold any real significance, besides the yellow, which is my favourite colour. They can certainly change as the project evolves, and they probably will. Yeah it does have a bit of a retro feel to it, which is good because i love retro designs, so i will probably run with that kind of aesthetic throughout if it works. :)
Thanks for taking time to have a look.

Good luck with the project Alex!
The logo looks great and I like the personal story it tells. It also gives you the option of changing the colours without impact… if you want to.
ayarti:
Thanks Adam. I love having side projects to keep my mind stimulated outside work hours! Yeah, I do like the colours, but they are certainly place holders at this early stage!
Thanks for the comment.

I agree with Adam and Nat – it’s beautifully executed.
ayarti:
Cheers Simon, thanks for taking a look :)

I think it looks great as well Alex…. and repeat what’s already been said really.
Will we see the finished portfolio in it’s entirety?… I hope so!
ayarti:
Thanks mate. Yeah sure, i’ll try and put some progress up on here as i make it, and when its done i will probably stick a pdf copy on my website so people can have a browse! It will be a slow process though, so don’t expect anything too soon :)
Thanks for the comment!
