Hisoka studied his student. Something was wrong and he could sense it. Ayame kept sweeping the arena with her eyes. Is he here, she thought to herself. Is he in the trials and if so who is he fighting? she asked herself. Hisoka-hei walked up behind her and put his hand on her shoulder. “Ayame. What is it? What’s wrong” he asked her softly.
“Sensei, do you remember the last fight I was in?” she asked in a lowered voice. Hisoka-hei sighed, “I do remember that fight. I almost lost you in it if Daigoro Sensei and myself didn’t intervene.” Ayame turned and looked at him. She had worry and fear in her eyes, yet she was trying not to show it. Hisoka knew that she wasn’t the type of person who was helpless or showed fear real easy. “Can I have everyone attention please. The trials will begin in just a few minutes. The first match will be Kasumi Miyoko of the mist and fog village and Katsutoshi Sakaki of the village of water.” the proctor reported. Ayame looked back at her sensei and then did a final sweep across the arena. “Ayame.” said Kisho. She turned to see Kisho standing next to her. “Let’s go up in the balcony and find a spot to watch the match.” he suggested eagerly. Ayame nodded in agreement and started towards the steps to the balcony. Hisoka walked quietly behind them. All three of them stood on the balcony along with the other clans. The clan from the village of mist and fog were present, the clan from the village of water, the village of fire, the village of wind, the village of the burning sand and village of the whispering trees. "Will Kasumi Miyoko and Katsutoshi Sakaki come down to the arena and we’ll get the trial started. Ayame watched as Kasumi from the village of mist and fog vanished and reappeared in the arena. Katsutoshi jumped down and landed in the arena with perfect balance. Both were in position and ready to begin.
