Cape of Good Hope area, Table Mountain National Park, Western Cape, SOUTH AFRICA
The beautiful Bontebok is an endangered Antelope species, found only in Protected areas of South Africa, mostly in the Western Cape. The Bontebok was once considered to be the rarest antelope in the world but careful conservation has ensured its survival.
After driving around unsuccessfully looking for any kind of wildlife around the Cape Point area, we were excited when we spotted a herd of around 30 or more Bontebok, wandering through and munching on the beautiful fynbos vegetation. It was the most idylic spot for them, near a stunning beach and very lovely grasses and shrubs for them to munch on. Very lucky Bonteboks!
