Elephant Mountain, Taipei, TAIWAN
Taiwan isn’t the most popular destination for Australian travellers in Asia, but I’d seen various photos and read up about it and had become really fascinated with it, so on a recent trip I combined Hong Kong with Taipei, and ended up enjoying Taipei even more than Hong Kong!
This was taken from the most popular viewpoint overlooking Taipei and its famous building, the Taipei 101 which is in my opinion the finest skyscraper in the world. It’s a magnificent building! The walk up Elephant mountain was extremely steep and I ended up finding out I wasn’t as fit as I thought, but after spending 20 minutes recovering from the walk, the view was absolutely spectacular.
