moon belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Graphic Scratch and WMG

tethered
to
the
earth
by
a
cord
woven
of
gravity
and
dust
while
the
stars,
pretty
little
things,
dance
and
wink
just
out
of
reach
she’s
pulling
the
tides
floating
always
away
playing
tag
with
the
sun
whose
bright
tendrils
of
light
grasp
and
scratch
at
her
pockmarked
skin
pushing
off
of
her
broad
shoulders
as
she
tries
to
escape
in
vain
twirling
herself
around
and
around
the
blue
and
green
planet
where
the
creatures
revere
her
with
wonderment,
how
beautiful
she
is
even
with
her
scars,
especially
with
her
scars,
sometimes
the
old
stars
fall
and
she
wants
to
catch
them,
keep
them
from
falling
forever,
and
they
burn
holes
in
her
body
as
they
whisper
a
celestial
blessing
for
her
compassionate
sacrifices,
how
beautiful
you
are,
if
only
you
could
see,
she
lights
up
the
night
with
all
the
sun’s
discarded
rays
bringing
out
shadows
and
causing
the
rippling
clouds
to
glow
while
she
gazes
into
the
universe
wishing
for
more
and
always
receiving
the
same
response,
you
are
perfect
just
as
you
are

i love that she’s a ‘she’... and i love your style here darling… it feels like i’m falling, floating, as i catch each word and tuck it inside my heart. the discarded rays of the sun... i’ve always loved the moon so… and this gives words to my little love affair. beautiful.

Excellent personification and brilliant use of metaphor! I was wondering if you were going to mention her dark side as well, but I like that you’ve opted not to and kept her a shining body. It’s definitely a captivating object in the night sky… have you ever noticed that she’s largest and most impressive when near the horizon, and smallest and alone when at the apex of the sky?
