All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Graphic Scratch, Short stories - Spherical Scriptings and WMGi put little pieces
of broken hearts
and shattered stars
under her pillow
every night
sometimes i stay
to watch her sleep
the shallow breaths
pushing against her
tiny ribs
squeezing her baby heart
in bloody throbs
and i imagine i can see
the tiny rivers
trickling under her
shivering skin
red for life
blue for death
she’s so very dear
to me
i stuff little pieces
of forgotten lyrics and
left-behind dreams
under her pillow
every night
i sit outside her window
and listen to her
hushed whimpers
i close my eyes
and smile
when she sings
in her sleep
and i know she’s dreaming
of sad things
broken
shattered
forgotten
left-behind things
she sings to save them
she’s still so tiny
and i weep for her future
when she’ll save everything
everyone
she’ll be there
when the world
cracks apart
when the people finish
killing themselves
when the oceans
swallow the land
and she’ll sing
but
for now
i’ll give her melodies
put them under her pillow
every night
she’ll be my little bird
and then she’ll fly

Wonderful expression of love towards a tiny human being that means the world to you. Great way of letting the imagination connect with the heart and vise-versa. You captured your thoughts, your dreams, your world and that of this child, and planned for the future. Excellent read, warm understanding, full of love and hope for the growing up of a dear love one. Bravo, I bow to your fine work.

ooooh delicate, and magical. Your writing takes me to another place and gives me peace from the noise of the world, if just for a minute. Thank you x
