Meet the A-Line Dress. All about all-over printing.
You can now get the same, I hesitate to call it food, at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, as in all the big cities in the world and all over America, especially if you like it fast.

Sensational, Faul!!! :-))) … your image, that is :-D
Not too long ago, we were in Milano and came across the magnificient Galleria … what an exquisite building! :-)) But in amongst the beautiful stores of Gucci et al, was disappointed to find it also franchised :-/ … insidious! :-//
Thank you. Who would have thought that you could sell junk food to the Italians, and in a upmarket mall. So sad.
Thank you. Luckily I had a little time to experiment because the reflections vary a lot with just a small change of the camera angle.
Love it Faul, gorgeous tones!
Thanks Berns, There was almost no colour to start with.
December 17th, 2011Wonderful capture!
Thank you so much!
You know what? It’s not, quite, ‘the same’! They actually do some local and ‘cultural’ adaptation with the result that in Beijing you can get ‘food’ in their locations you cannot get in Amsterdam – and vice versa! (But I thought all these places are actually run by the same company, and not franchised? I could be mistaken).
Great graphical shot ! Also nicely shows the deliberately uncomfortable seats ;)
Thank you. Your comment inspired me to do a quick (should that be “fast”?) search and I found this article. They are much more widespread than I imagined. With 31,000 restaurants in 120 countries I sadly have to give up my dream to take pictures like this at them all. Related searches suggest the place where you can buy chicken by the bucket.
Thanks for that information! So in SA 70% franchised, but it takes at least 9 months without pay for training! Good grief… Still, I think visiting 120 countries is a nice dream to have, even if you don’t complete it. ;)
I was surprised that it only takes nine months to train someone about what represent food but then I realised that it is probably more about the image and money. I was only joking about visiting 120 countries. My nephew lives in Amsterdam and keep on inviting me but I find it hard to explain that I would rather explore the same place, where people from all over the world come to, a hundred times than visiting a hundred places once.
Thank you very much.
HiNice work – this is a fine image , well seen and capturedRichard
Thanks Richard. I watched them fitting out this place for weeks and was pleasantly surprised when I saw this. Could be the beginning of a new series… Faul
