Calling by awefaul

Some ideas I had about these pictures taken at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town while I decided which one I prefer:
When my grandparents where young and thought of calling someone they had to be within shouting distance of that person. These days it is common to see someone calling someone from any public place and they could be anywhere in the world. There are even laws to prevent people from calling someone while driving.
Also, considering some of the phone calls I received, it can sometimes change your life in a few moments and I wondered if this woman will remember what the conversation was about and who she was talking to and where they were. Perhaps she chose this private moment to tell some life changing news.
Three handheld exposures were combined in Photoshop CS5 Merge to HDR Pro to get details in the direct sunlight and the shadow.

It is part of a series of People elsewhere occupied and, of course, Figures in an urban landscape

Digital photography is doing for photography what the piano did for keyboard music. You can still play music composed for the harpsichord on the piano but not the other way around.
