There is a movie where the editor of a small town look out over the sea and tells the new reporter to write a story, “Imminent Storm Threatens Town” The reporter sceptically looks at the grey clouds in the distance and ask, “What if it isn’t a storm?” The editor replies, "Then you write a story, “Town Saved From Storm”
Well, I also did exaggerate a little.
With the camera resting on the rail of a balcony, three exposures from -2 , because shooting directly into the light overexposure of the highlights can be a problem. Tone mapping in Photomatix and the black & white conversion in Photoshop CS4 where I also removed a prominent lens flare.
I am pleased to report that there was a second front page story here also.
It is part of the naval base at Simon’s Town on the coast of the Cape Peninsula near Cape Town
