Red buoy by awefaul

Currently unavailable for purchase

This is one of the pictures that I took of a boat at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. I made a comment on a picture of the same boat and how interesting it is to see how different photographers see the same thing. It isn’t better, or worse, just different.
Five exposures HDR with tone mapping in Photomatix and extensive layers in Photoshop CS4

Top 10 in the Boats and Buoys challenge of the A Love of Boats, 10/05/12

Digital photography is doing for photography what the piano did for keyboard music. You can still play music composed for the harpsichord on the piano but not the other way around.

This is a great shot. textures, reflections, perspective drawing into focal point, good tonal balance….. oh, and it looks good overall, too. Brill.

Would you like to add to A Love of Boats group

  • Thanks for the invitation. I have joined the group and submitted this and another recent picture. Most of my album are pictures at the Waterfront, so I will keep the group in mind.
