The same mannequin (every dummy aspires to be one) on another day.

Acute, but luckily not terminal, shyness stop me from working with real models. Besides, who would dress up and strike an unmoving pose behind glass while I sneak around to take their picture. Here are some more of these beautiful and untiring models that posed for me, no questions asked.

Digital photography is doing for photography what the piano did for keyboard music. You can still play music composed for the harpsichord on the piano but not the other way around.

Simply stunning !!! Between you and Heather you have openend my eyes to shop windows they are just very difficult to photograph because I have been frowned upon quite often by the security people of shopping centres.

  • Thanks Sandra. Being “frowned upon” by security guards has never hurt me. They can’t be everywhere all the time and I already know what I want to do by the time I lift the camera. By the time they ask me to stop I am usually finished. Besides, I think the right to take pictures (in a public place) is part of the “freedom of speech” bit of our constitution.

Thank you for sharing your work with the Photomatix HDR Group. This wonderful example of a Photomatix-processed image has been accepted into the Group!

I keep staring at this one. Is see new things all the time! So very nice.

  • Well. HDR for me is also a lot about getting detail in the highlights and shadows and as close as possible to the way the eyes see something. I keep on posting these to the HDR groups but I wonder if I should even mention it. Thanks, your comment made me look at it again.
