On the beach at Gordon’s Bay overlooking False Bay one day in summer. BTW, I found it very, very interesting that the question on top of the FAQ list of Facebook was, wait for it, “How do I permanently remove myself from Facebook?”

Thank you Doug. It is funny how the picture is like a joke I heard many times before and it isn’t very funny anymore but when it make others laugh I can enjoy it all over again.

Hah!! Very well seen. There was indeed no other option for the title. I think the fact that there are other people visible adds to the total feel of the image. She lies there, all in herself, ‘facebook’ to have all the privacy she needs, while around here the world just goes on and on.

All I had to do was focus on her and then decide if it would be better to get her in the middle, on top or bottom of the frame. She obviously wasn’t going anywhere in a hurry, so I even had time to try all three. Could have done a HDR, come to think…

It’s ages since I’ve been to Gordon’s Bay. I used to spend so many hours on that beach when I was at varsity (Stellenbosch).
