Dancing in the reflection by

Early one morning at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, I saw this women cleaning the windows of a restaurant with the harbour reflecting behind. This picture was the beginning of a series on the ‘invisible’ workers who work behind the scenes to make the experience for the millions of tourists as pleasant as possible.

Needs great perspicacity to dance a pane!!!!!
    Great shot….
    Cheers Lee

  • There, now see what you did! I had to look up the meaning of ‘perspicacity’ . Now I sit and wonder if I could find a situation where I can use it. Thanks.

wonderful reflections…puzzle for the eye…very nice

  • Thanks. I think people find it confusing because it does not follow any visual rules.

Brilliant…looks to me like she is singing an aria (though I thought the figure was a man before reading your description!)

  • Thank you. Although this is one of my personal favourite it isn’t very popular.

She does look like she is singing – wonderful capture – so interesting to the eye with all the reflections :)

  • Probably an Italian opera aria or are there songs about spaghetti? Every comment add something to the picture. Thanks.

Good eye, clever take – i like it.

  • Thank you very much. It is very interesting to see the pictures of the people who write comments on this picture. They invariably also have a lot of candid work.
