Christina Norwood
Profile
I’ve been doing traditional photography, mainly landscape and nature, for over twenty years. About five years ago I went digital, which meant a close involvement with digital image editing, and lead to doing some composite images. This, in turn, lead to a greater interest in fantasy art, to illustration, and eventually to 3D rendering. So, my portfolio’s a mess. Like my house, my life,...
In 2007 I began to do more people photography, using myself and other people as models. Most of my self-portrait work is a kind of personal photojournalism, depicting scenes relevant to my daily life. Also in the past year I’ve started shooting in studio rather than out and about.
At the moment I’m mostly producing composites of real and rendered elements. The process of character modelling also throws up some interesting images at times, especially in terms of presenting a facade, and what’s behind it.
