a friend of mine has an unending supply of mint tins which I occasionally throw in the fire for patina effects…. inspired by a new book by Jane Wynn I’ve begun a series of Industrial Jewelery pieces using the mint tins as shrines……….very exciting new venture for me since they are simple and I can make one in a day and have lots of fun! the title ‘guaranteed rustless’ comes from a label attached to the raised lid (which cannot be seen behind the line of twigs) and cut from my mum’s old sewing box stash…era 60s….

also, I love the stopped bullet-ness of the bean :) .. and the glow of gold on the twigs! lovely.
