Red pigment; rice-paper referencing the ephemeral, Jurassic sand and oil-paints.
This is one of the completed pieces for the Redcliffe grant
I so loved the idea of using Jurassic sand since it references a timeless enduring quality of Earth, even if us humans won’t endure because of our own careless ignorance.
This is my experience of being surrounded in the ‘mindfulness’ of a forest – a meditation in light and colour fragments. The essential experience of relatedness with nature and its restorative qualities.
On canvas: 1200mmX 900mm.
