Going to Alice Springs
Acrylic, watercolour and pigment on canvas… 90 cms X 120 cms
Completed in december 2008 this is a play of light and colur …..chattering with my sisters on a long, long walk to Alice Springs. I am so grateful to have had a transcendental experience painting this piece….... crawling around on the ground in the bush-land I have been living on.
Going to Alice Springs belongs to the following groups:
Abstract Art, Acrylic Painting, All Around the Styles, Creative, Talented, and Unknown, Fine Arts, Mixed Media, Remodernist Painters' Group - 1/CALENDAR MONTH, Spiritual Art and THE SISTERHOOD
Kerryn Madsen...
Wonderful display of orchestrated strengths & energies – with a marching stable rhythm of formidable vertical/horizontal yet personalized humane gestural markings in elevating magenta/pinks, softening the underbelly of the primal reds & yellows.
(Pardon me … I like to go off into the oblivion of practicing visual art literacy when I see such luscious refreshing work. And done on a large canvas too.) Well done.
PS. Do you mean you literally walked to Alice Springs?
